Thank you for helping make the Parent Living +Plus calendar a trusted resource for local families! Please review the full guidelines below before submitting your event.
What Events Can Be Posted?
We accept local, in-person events that are family-friendly, parent-focused, or community-based.
Here are some great examples:
- Kid-focused events: story times, library programs, seasonal festivals, craft workshops, camps, school events
- Parent & caregiver events: parenting workshops, mom/dad meetups, fitness with childcare, support groups
- Family outings: outdoor concerts, farmers markets, beach cleanups, art walks, holiday parades
- Educational or enrichment events: STEM workshops, parenting classes, youth enrichment programs
All events must be:
- In-person (no virtual/online-only events)
- Held within the next 90 days
- Located in one of your location’s cities
- If multi-day: limited to consecutive days, no longer than 7 days total
What Events Will Not Be Accepted?
To keep the calendar useful and relevant for parents and families, we do not allow:
- Virtual or online-only events (no Zooms, webinars, or virtual meetups)
- Events happening more than 90 days in the future
- Multi-day events that are not on consecutive days or last longer than one week
- Business or professional events such as:
- Networking mixers
- Ribbon cuttings
- Committee meetings or office hours
- Economic development sessions
- Real estate events
- Injectable/Botox/filler promotions
- Events labeled "Stay tuned for updates" (must have a clear date/time)
- Political or partisan events
Review & Approval Process
All submitted events are reviewed by our team before appearing on the calendar. Please allow up to 2–3 business days for review.
To ensure faster approval:
- Include a clear title, date(s), start/end time, and full event address
- Limit multi-day events to consecutive days (max one week)
- Write a brief but helpful description of what attendees can expect
- Upload a photo (optional, but recommended!)
Friendly Reminder
Parent Living +Plus reserves the right to decline event submissions that don't meet our guidelines. Repeated misuse of the submission form (such as posting unrelated or ineligible events) may result in restrictions on future submissions. We're here to support local families and events—thank you for helping us keep the calendar meaningful and community-focused!
