Halloween Ghost

Learn how to make eerie yet charming cheesecloth ghosts to add a spooky touch to your Halloween décor.

MATERIALS

Approximately 24” x 36” Rectangle of Cheesecloth
Fabric Stiffener
(2) 20mm Google Eyes
Black Felt
20 oz. Plastic Water Bottle
(2) Pencils
2 ½ Inch Styrofoam Ball
Plastic Wrap
A Large Crafting Bowl
Glue Gun
Decorating Supplies Such as Chain (plastic) and Pumpkins

INSTRUCTIONS

Poke pencils through the sides of the water bottle and position them as shown in the picture to represent arms.
Place Styrofoam ball on top of water bottle.
Drape plastic wrap over entire form.
Drape dry cheesecloth over the form to decide on correct dimensions, and cut to size.
Pour a good amount of fabric stiffener in the bottom of the large bowl.
Place cheesecloth in the bowl and massage stiffener throughout the entire length of cheesecloth. Add additional fabric stiffener if necessary. Any areas that do not have enough stiffener will cause the “ghost” to fall down.
Stretch out the cheesecloth and drape carefully over the mold. Allow to dry according to the directions on the package, usually overnight.
Once dry, carefully remove ghost from its form.
